What the watch says

“Quick heads-up, I record work notes on my watch so nothing gets missed. Okay if it's on?”

That line is a notification at the start of each day, with a short haptic. It is not repeated on every chunk. While the microphone is on, the watch shows a tiny icon-only ongoing-activity chip and a small edge dot. That chip has no banner and no status text. The notification says the microphone is off while a pause is in effect.

When the microphone is on

• The watch records continuously. There is no work-hour window and no home geofence.
• The tile and the complication are a large Pause. One tap pauses or resumes. An optional timer can resume on its own. Until then, the microphone stays off and the notification says so.
• With the call notice on, the watch speaks “This call is recorded for quality assurance.” into a connected call, once per call. The toggle is in the watch settings. A pause keeps that line quiet.

What the server keeps

• Audio is encrypted before it is written. Raw audio is deleted daily after task extraction. Transcripts and extracted tasks stay.
• Extracted tasks, follow-ups, and notes stay so the crew can still do the work.
• Only the admin account can open this site, download audio, or set a legal hold. A watch token can upload and nothing else.
• Audio flagged legal hold is kept. Placing or releasing a hold notifies the configured legal-hold webhook.
